Performance with Zane Massey at V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media.

Live performance involving Desmodium gyrans (“telegraph plants”), jazz improvisation, custom-built plant sensing interfaces, cameras and biological feedback systems. Electrical activity and movement within the plants influenced sound, behavior and interaction during the performance, creating an unstable feedback situation between musician, plants and technological mediation.

The work developed from ongoing investigations into plant–human–machine interfaces, biological responsiveness and non-human forms of perception.
